Gabrielle Yarborough
Outreach and Engagement Specialist
Gabrielle joined the team in 2024 to help grow Focus for Democracy’s robust group of network co-hosts. Gabrielle enjoys getting to know engaged co-hosts all over the country, supporting them in their work to bring more enthusiastic people into the F4D network. If you have a question about co-hosting, Gabrielle is your go-to for the answer.
Gabrielle has a background in non-profit fundraising, volunteer engagement, marketing, and communications. Most recently, she served as the Development Director for a local Habitat for Humanity affiliate, where she built a strong fundraising and volunteer program from the ground up. Throughout her professional career, Gabrielle has also been active as a political volunteer for state-level and congressional campaigns up and down the East Coast, as well as presidential campaigns. In 2021, Gabrielle became a graduate of Emerge South Carolina, an intensive program that trains and provides a powerful network to Democratic women who want to run for office. Gabrielle’s experience with Emerge South Carolina gave her the motivation to make the professional move to politics full-time, working behind the scenes to get candidates elected and policies made.
A New Jersey native, Gabrielle graduated from Douglass College at Rutgers University, New Brunswick, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Studies. She currently resides in Charleston, South Carolina, with her husband, one very spunky five-year-old, and two rescue dogs.
